May we be well 〰️

I’ve favored and cultivated a holistic caregiving lifestyle and supported friends and family members in their pregnancy, birth, and rearing for as long as I can remember.

After training with the National Black Doula Association, I became a practicing doula in 2023. I offer birthing people and families a balance of evidence-based resources and holistic tools to help cope with everyday stress and ease the changes that come with pregnancy.

I bring knowledge and experience in pediatric care and early childhood development from working at Children’s National Hospital, supporting neuroscience. I am from Milwaukee and earned a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

When not with clients, I research and write about parenting, maternal health, and early childhood education. I live in NW DC and enjoy live music, comedy, and travel when possible!

As your doula, I will provide skilled communication, calm, nurturing physical and emotional support, and holistic knowledge garnered through life experience and continued education.

My why is deeply personal, and I bring a passion for empowered parenting experiences to each client I serve.

If you’d like to learn more, please schedule a call. I hope to support you on your sacred, creative journey and look forward to connecting soon.

With gratitude,

Genesha Michelle

Reduce Fear

Dispell myths and discover the unknown with childbirth information and resources. Together we will craft a customized path for you to acquire knowledge that advocates for your unique needs, fears, and wishes.

Manage Change
